                 Doctor Ania Danielle Carlson,MD a Medical Director and Founder of the ADC Pain Institute of South Florida is well known in the community. Dr.Carlson had spent an eight years of the post gradute training at MSU ( Internship), then three years of an Anesthesiology residency program at University of Miami, followed with fellowships at Univesity of Connecticut , Yale and NYU.

   Also, just before then, Dr. Carlson, obtained a very valuble two years of experience in psychiatry  working with a professor of psychiatry at University of Miami School of Medicine, Edmund Cava,MD. 

         After completion of an Internship at MSU, Ania Danielle Carlson, MD joined for three years an Anesthesiology Program at University of Miami -The largest and the most challenging anesthesiology program in the Country.She served as anesthesiologist at Jackson Memorial Hospital, Cedars H., VA, Sylvester C.Cancer Center, Bascom Palmer Eye Institute, Ryder Trauma Center, Miami Children's Hospital and Mt. Sinai MC in Miami Beach... to mention just a few. 

         Dr.Carlson's Mentors in Pain Management were: Anesthesiology Professor at University of Miami JMH and Chief of the Pain Relief Center Vicente Pallares,MD and a Chief of Anesthesiology at Sylvester Comprehenssive Cancer Center and Associate Professor at University of Miami, Director of Pain Medicine at Sylvester CCC, Dr.Dennis Patin,MD.                                                               

       The  fellowship at NYU - North Shore Universty Hospital at Manhasset Dr Carlson obtained an credentials in Imaging,especially: Molecular Imaging, Positron Emmission Tomography so called  PET, or PET /CT' imaging, Nuclear Cardiology, MRI's,Gamma Cammeras imaging and utilization of the Radioucleides in Therapy of certain Cancers.  

         Pain Management became Dr.Carlson's favoret specialty, because of her "passion" to help people in pain. She found her "calling" - to improve the quality of patients life.

         A.D.Carlson's very first main therapeutic goal is patients satisfactory pain control. Soon as that is established,other goals are identified and consecutively persuited, including patients personal goals, if patints chose to work on with us.    

        Dr. Carlson, also is very proud of her cotribution towards the ASA American Society of Anesthesiologist accomplishmend, such as, the fact that the PAIN became officially accepted as the 5th Vital Sign. Now, every patient (in the in-patient or out-patient facility must have taken Vital Signs: such as  BP( blood Pressure), HR (puls), RR(respiratory rate), T= (temperature) and a Pain Score(from 0-10).

      We proudly present : Dania Shannon who recently came back after alomost a year of abscence.  

   She is back !!!, Hey we are so happy to annonce this news to our patients. We know how much they missed  this : so friendly, eagor with helping, our Office Administrator and Patient Care Specialist/Manager: Dania - Shannon.

ADC is welcoming her this week January 25th 2010....

She has a lot's of responsibility on her shoulders , but she is back strong and devoted to ADC's patients as ever.

     Carol - our General Manager and Pharmacy Administration Assistant

           Carol was born in Jamaica,she love music and dance...you just want to sing ..."dont worry be happy..."  but she fit this image only as long as everything with a patients is well , she will dance with you , if you do exacly what she wants and how she wants... and you don't want to do otherwise o no ,,,on a surface she may fit the image as "dont worry be happy",because, soon as you get closer, her unrelenless strive for perfection, although sweet, will make you feel motivated to be the best that you can and more. Her compassion for patients wellbeing, comphort and is immense and will not get anyone rest till the patient is you know she is a  very friendly and very business oriented. She run the office smoothly, care for her patients with compassion but also make sure that all the rules and regulations of ADC are not broken.

    She shall never forget to call you the day before your appointment, she also will gently remind you, if some of your medical records need an attention or revision.
